Charlie Belcher, 84 of Wallins passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Harlan ARH.
Charlie was born December 19, 1933 at Tremont, KY to the late Henry and Martha Noe Belcher. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, and was a retired carpenter and had been employed with Kentucky Harlan Coal Co. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, and coaching sports at Wallins Elementary School. He believed in the Baptist faith.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, Dean Smyth, Orville, Hobart, Betty, and Theo Belcher.
He is survived by his wife, Armilda Belcher; children, Beverly (Glen) Nantz, Jennifer (Ricky) Caldwell, and Charlie (Denise) Belcher, Jr.; grandchildren, Joshua and Caleb Nantz, Cullen (Veronica) Petrey, Melissa (Michael) Clifton, Casey (Jessica) Belcher, and Kyle Belcher; great grandchildren, Jaycee and Kenzlee Petrey, and Fischer Clifton; special sister-in-law, Phyllis Belcher; he leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Tuesday, (Jan. 23) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Johnson officiating.
Private Burial will be held at the Park-Howard Cemetery in Wallins.
