Charles Michael Ison

Charles Michael Ison, 61 of Stanfill passed away on Thursday morning of September 15, 2022 at the Harlan ARH surrounded by his family.
Michael was born September 17, 1960 in Harlan, KY to the late Charlie and Helen Ison Couch. He was a retired Foreman in the Coal Mines. He enjoyed working on old cars and was a huge country music fan.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Paula Gibson and Renie Carol Joseph; nephew, T.J. Ison; and a brother in law, Brian Brock.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Foley Ison; daughters, Megan Ison and Cayla Ison (Ashley) Mattingly; grandchildren, Jaydon Middleton, Tryndon Simpson, and Neveah Epperson; brothers, Talmadge Jack (Iva Lou) Ison, Herman Smith, Matthew Smith, and Marvin Smith; sisters, Kannie (Paul) Gross, and Tammy (Tim) Johnson; he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives to mourn his passing.
As a family we will honor his final wishes that there will be no services and cremation performed by the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home of Harlan.
