Charles "Chalk" Doan

Charles “Chalk” Doan, 64, of Clovertown, Kentucky died Friday, January 19, 2018 at his residence. Charles was born June 1, 1953 in Harlan, Kentucky son of the late William Bradley and Lucy Mildred Doan. He had worked approximately 20 years at Powers and Horton of Harlan. He enjoyed fishing as well as arts and crafts.
Surviving are his children, April Michelle Smith, Bonnie Nicole (Jason) Mills, and Catherine Lynnette Doan; grandchildren, Ariel Henry, Christan Holbrook, Damian Holbrook, Eric Lee Smith, II, Shayla Grubb, Riley Napier, Emma Napier, Cassidy Mills, Abigail Napier, and Jason Mills, Jr. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Kadence Mefford, Avery Holbrook, Chandler Anderson, Xavier Grubb as well as three expected very soon; brothers, Bill (Sheila) Doan, Gerald “Buster” Doan, and Tom Doan; sisters, Bonnie (John) Thompson, and Connie (Shelby) Helton. Several Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends will also mourn his passing.
Visitation will be Monday, January 22, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.
Interment will follow the funeral in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, Kentucky.
