Charles Brock

Charles Nelson Brock, 80 of Harlan passed away on Thursday April 25, 2019 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

Mr. Brock was born November 6, 1938 in Leslie Co., KY to the late  Hobert & Matilda Brock. He was a resident of Harlan for 53, having worked for as a diesel mechanic for Croushorn Equipment Co for 10 years and a mechanic for the Harlan Co. Board of Education. He was a proud member of the Sunshine Volunteer Fire Department for 26 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife Nannie Brock; daughter, Virginia Brock; brothers/sisters, Robert Brock, Marie Brock Sawka, Cecil Brock, Tina Brock, Caldwell Theo Brock, James Brock, Clifford Brock, and Jewell Brock.

He is survived by his daughters, Teresa Brock and Anna (Raymond) Pagel, and Connie Brock; his son, Hobert Brock; sister, Lucy Brock; brother, Verlan Brock; grandchildren, Jordan Brock, Justin (Kayla) Helton, Shannon Cole, Anna Day, Brittany Brock, Summer Brock, Brandon (Kacy) Day, and Jennifer (Ryan) Mullins; and a host of great grandchildren. His extended special family, Letch (Angela) Day, James Neal, Rosa Fields, and Jimmy Smith; he leaves a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Monday (April 29) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Napier officiating. Music will be provided by his niece, LizziG.

Graveside services will be held 12:00 pm Tuesday (April 30) at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, KY.
