Charles Asher

Charles Edward Asher, 87 of Bledsoe, KY passed away on Friday evening at the home of his daughter in Bryson City, NC.
Charles was born September 7, 1934 in Louellen, KY to the late Hobart and Sophia Collett Asher. He was a retired coal miner with over 30 years of service. He had served as a Pastor for 45 years and enjoyed fishing. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and member of the Whittier Church of God in Whittier, NC.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charlene Brock Asher; and his son, Robert Asher.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Rebecca Williamson; grandson, Asher James Williamson all of Bryson City, NC; daughter in law, Kim Asher of Baxter; sister in law, Betty Jean Wilson of Cumberland Gap, TN; he leaves 4 brothers, 1 sister, and a host of nieces and nephews to mourn his passing.
A private graveside service will be held at the Brown Cemetery in Bledsoe, KY with Rev. Jeff Mills officiating.
