Cathy Collins

Cathy Jean Collins 62 of Harlan was born February 12, 1951 and passed away Novemeber 11, 2014 at her home after a long illness.  She is preceded in death by her father, D. C. Collins; sister, Ann Collins and two brothers, Fred Collins and Jackie Collins.

She is survived by two children, Teresa Abner and James Lively both of Harlan, Kentucky; four grandkids, Fonda Abner, Kathy Abner, Tracy Shepard, and Robin Shepard all of Harlan; and one god son which she raised, Nick Powers; four great-grandkids, Raylyn Creech, Kaleb Abner, Cameron Upchruch, and Hunter Sullivan all of Harlan, Kentucky.  Also surviving are her mother, Fay Collins; four sisters, Linda Branson, Peggy Moore, Lena Collins all of Dalton, Georgia and Mona Hatfield of Harlan; one brother, John Collins of Dalton, Georgia; and a companion, Edward Combs.  A lot of friends and relatives will also mourn her passing.

Visition will be Friday, November 14, 2014 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral Servies will follow the visitation at 1:00 PM Friday also in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.  The Rev. Darrell Turner will officiate the services.

Burial will follow the funeral at Resthaven Cemetery, Keith, Kentucky.  Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers
