Brian "Doughboy" Dewayne Johnson, 55 of Evarts passed away Tuesday afternoon on March 25, 2025 at the Harlan ARH.
Brian was born October 25, 1969 in Harlan, KY and worked for 25 years as a roof bolter in the Coal Mine.
He is preceded in death by his dad, Harry Moore; sister, Lahoma Renea Moore Butler; grandparents, Dave & Lydia Johnson and Bob & Ruby Moore; nephew, Cody Maggard; mother in law, Elizabeth Baker.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce Faye Moore; girlfriend of 32 years, Sharon Helton; children, Adam (Maggie) Johnson, Jonathan (Sheena) Johnson and Stephanie Baker; grandchildren, Harley Johnson, Arizona Johnson, Mack Johnson, Lukas Johnson; other grandchildren, Courtney Buchanan and Sissy Buchanan; sister, Kim (Robert) Hensley; brother, James Shepherd; niece, Anna Hensley; nephew, Haydon Butler very special aunt, Patricia Johnson; special friend, Bill Johnson; he leaves a host of other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Thursday (March 27) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Baker officiating. Music will be provided by Stan Nicely.
Graveside services will be 12:00 pm Friday (March 28) at the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, KY. Family and friends are asked to meet at the Funeral Home by 11:15 to go in procession to the cemetery.
