Blake Edward Gross

Blake Edward Gross, 55 of Dayhoit passed away suddenly on Wednesday morning of August 7, 2024 at the Harlan ARH.

Blake was born February 8th, 1969 to Monetta Burkhart Gross. He was a bridge carpenter by trade, and was currently employed by Central Bridge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and telling jokes. But most of all, he loved being a Dad. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Hilbert “Sonny” Noe, his grandparents, Emanuel and Polly Morgan Burkhart, his sister, Cindy Noe, and brother-in-law, Andy Adkins. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Monetta Burkhart Gross; fiancé, Gina Cooper; Children, Andrew (Noya) Hopkins, Jake Lucas, Deborah (Kody) Weaver, Shylar (Aubrey) Purgitt, Destiny (Jessie) McVey, Lacie Gross, Corinna (Michael) Belcher and Justin (Kaylee) Higgins; grandchildren, Troy, Charlie Faye, Gabriel, Axel, Kendal, Korbyn, Jase, and soon-to-be baby Boone; Brothers, Brian Gross and John Derrick Noe; Sisters, Leslie (Steve) Adkins-Howard, Kristie Noe, and Tracy (Gregory) Eldridge. 

He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, and coworkers to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm Friday August 9, 2024 at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home, 114 S. 3rd Street, Harlan, KY 40831

Private burial will be at the Hillside Cemetery at Dayhoit, KY.

Pallbearers will include his special friends that he loved like brothers, Larry “Mack” McGilvray, Liege Williams, Garnett Lee Howard, Carl “Fuzz” Ellison, Derrick Rowe, Jonathan “Stumpy” Stamper, Daniel Burkhart, Jessie McVey, and a host of honorary pallbearers, including all of his work family throughout the years, cousins, and life long friends.
