Betty Jean Rowe

Betty Jean Rowe, 70 of Grays Knob passed away Friday June 3, 2016 at her home.

Jean was born Oct. 17, 1945 in Harlan, Ky.  She was a lifelong resident of Harlan Co. and had worked for Drew Smith’s before going to Ben Franklin for 17 years. Her last employment was delivering the Harlan Daily Newspaper for 10 years. She enjoyed her family, cooking, and working with her flowers. She believed in the Church of God faith.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jesse Young; her mother, Oma Young Farmer; step father, Fred Farmer; infant son, Jerry Lee Muncy; son, Markie Joe Muncy; 1 brother, Jesse “Junior” Young.

She is survived by her loving husband, Randy Rowe, SR of Grays Knob; children, Glen Dewayne (Lisa) Muncy of Cawood and Teresa (Marvin “Butch”) Jeffers of Grays Knob; step children, Candace D. Willis and Randy (Renee) Rowe, Jr all of Catrons Creek; 10 grandchildren, Bethany Daniels, Jacob Muncy, Ashley Muncy, Delora Goshen, Jennifer Turner, Cody Willis, Taylor, Randi Sue, Jayden, and Autumn Rowe; 3 great grandchildren, Caleb and Kaitlyn Engle, and Evan Turner; brother, Robert (Glenda) Young of Putney; Sister, Wilma (Bill) Engle of Elcomb; sister-in-law, Tina Young of Teetersville; half sisters, Lorene (Wayne) Register, Jo Ann (Rex) Allen, and Thelma (Roberto) Reyez all of Florida; step sisters, Darlene (Junior) Mullins of Shields, and Mary Blas of Evarts; step brother, Willis (Ann) Farmer of Evarts; her beloved dog, “Rusty”.

Visitation will be Tuesday (June 7) from 5 until 9 at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday (June 8) in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Franklin Stewart officiating.

Burial will follow in the Grays Knob Cemetery with Family and Friends serving as Pallbearers.
