Betty Jo (Sutton) Wyatt passed away on Friday, September 6, 2013 at Nashville’s Alive Hospice after a lengthy illness at the age of 83.
She was born on May 4, 1930 in Jensen, KY to the late John and Rhoda Sutton. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters; Della (Sutton) Behen, Clarence Sutton, Marie Sutton, Vernon Sutton, Lon Sutton, and Jean (Sutton) McDonald; her husband, Brownlow (Brownie) Wyatt and her first grandchild, Wyatt Lane Manous.
Betty Jo loved her family dearly. She and Brownie were married in Knoxville, TN and later moved to Chattanooga where she stayed home to raise their two children Rhonda (Wyatt) Manous and Brownlow Read Wyatt, III. They later moved to Knoxville when Brownie started his own business. When Rhonda and her husband (Michael Manous) moved to Lebanon, TN, Betty Jo followed to help care for the grandchildren. She is survived by her two children and by her four grandchildren: Cayla Wyatt, Destin Manous, Derek Manous and Pamela Wyatt.
Visitation will be Tuesday September 10, 2013 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Graveside services will follow at 2:30 pm Tuesday September 10, 2013 at the Resthaven Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Brandon Pugh officiating.
