Betty June Dixon

Our beloved Betty June Dixon, 84, of Wallins KY passed away on Thursday afternoon of February 20, 2025 at Baptist Health Corbin.

Betty was born on August 16, 1940, to Charles & Rosie Sturgill in Blackwater, Virginia. She believed in the Pentecostal faith. She loved the Lord dearly. Betty was devoted to Clyde Dixon for 61 years. Together they had 4 children, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Dixon, her siblings: Aurthor Sturgill, Issac Sturgill, Carson Sturgill, Elmer Sturgill, Harold Sturgill, Mary Gilliam, Pearl Hickman, Hazel Sturgill, Dorothy McBryar and her great grandson Timothy Daymion Hensley.

She is survived by her children: Debra & William Hensley, Carolyn & Danny Byrd, Jeffrey & Sandy Dixon, and Tammy Dixon. Her grandchildren: Timothy Hensley, Michael & Jeancymore Byrd, Christy & Travis Daniels, Tabitha & Andy Reynolds, Ashley & Johnny Devlin, Justin Gilbert, Stephanie & Cody Edens, and Tiffany Dixon. Her great grandchildren: Britny, Whitney & Angel Hensley, Michael & Tyler Byrd, Katelyn & Sara Daniels, Brooke & Paisley Reynolds, Jayden Miller and Evan & Serenity Devlin, Hailee & Valerie Gilbert, and Caden & Kylie Edens. Also, her great great grandchildren: Sophia & Phoebe Witt and Jersey Hensley, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes a private graveside service will be held at Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, KY on Saturday, February 22, 2025 with Rev. John Carter officiating.

And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.” (Mark 5:34)

God is saying to you today, “Your suffering is over! Your faith has remained strong during the toughest season of your life. Because of your faith, I am going to bless, favor and heal you.”
