Barney McCoy Huff (Coy Huff), 74 of Harlan passed away Saturday January 13, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family following a brief illness.
Coy was born December 30, 1943 in Cumberland, KY to the late Barney, Sr and Ruth Huff. He was a devoted member of the Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Dizney, KY; he had worked most of his life as a painter.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Jack and Dick Huff.
He is survived by his lifelong companion, Sylvia Saylor; 2 daughters, Deborah Topp, and Melissa (Earl) Hall; 1 son, Eugene Huff; grandchildren, Amanda Spice, Joe Topp, Ethan Huff, Brittany (Raven) Ison, and Cody Hall; 5 great grandchildren, and 1 expectant great grandson, Asher Coy Ison, due in May; 6 sisters, June Schoonover, Jane (Julius) Neverstitch, Patricia (Cleon) Cornett, Betty Clarke, Ophelia (Ron) Rhinehart, Shirley Vann; he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday (Jan. 20) at the Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church at Dizney, KY with Rev. Gerald Jones and Rev. Paul White officiating.
Burial will follow in the Huff Cemetery at Cumberland, KY with Shaun Vann, Cody Hall, Timbo Blair, Dennis O’Roark, Raven Ison, Larry Hamilton, Chris Jones, John Christian, and Steven Madden serving as Pallbearers.
Visitation for Mr. Huff will be 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Friday (Jan.19) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
