Barbara Ellen Dean, 70 of Harlan passed away Thursday April 17, 2014 at the Harlan ARH.
Barbara was born June 27, 1943 in Smith, KY to the late Finley and Ora Mae Hensley Dean. She was a homemaker and believed in the Holiness Faith.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ollie Brookshire, Bernice King, Betty Green, and Maxine Dean.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Tabitha (James) Bolton; grandchildren, Christopher and David Bolton all of Coalgood, KY; her brothers, Gilbert (Carol) Dean of Lavonia, MI, Tommy (Zola) Dean of Baxter, Johnny (Joann) Dean of Cawood, and Terry Dean of Baxter; she leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be Monday (April 21) from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Turner officiating.
Graveside services will be held 12:00 pm Tuesday (April 22) at Hensley Cemetery at Smith, KY.
