Angela "Angie" Combs Smith

The world can’t contain a light that burns too bright 

Angela (Angie) Combs Smith passed peacefully on May 21, 2024 at the age of 65. She was born in Hazard Kentucky on November 15th 1958 but always called Harlan her home. She was proceeded in death by her son John Henry Posey, her parents Basil and Eula Combs, and several brothers. She is survived by her daughters Crissy Posey Lloyd and Tasha Ely and her son in laws Jason Lloyd and Shawn Ely. She left behind five grandchildren, Hannah Housley, Kyndal Lloyd, Jack Lloyd, Brody Ely, and Kasen Ely. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Zola Oroarke, Cathy Middleton, and Beverly Gentry, and her brother Seldon Combs. Not to mention so very many nephews and nieces. Lastly she left behind many, many friends specifically Gilbert Edward Hensley. 

In keeping with Angie's wishes cremation was chosen and handled through the care of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

A Celebration of her life will be 1:00 pm Sunday May 26, 2024 at the New Riverside Baptist Church at Smith with Rev. Roger Clem Officiating. 

The family ask that memorials be made to New Riverside Baptist Church, 8274 Highway 987, Smith, KY 40831 in memory of Angela.
