Alta Mae Marcum Partin, 93 of Evarts passed away Sunday Dec. 22, 2013 at her home with family by her side.
Mrs. Partin was born July 18, 1920 in Bell Co., KY to the late Erwin and Mary Hannah Gibson Marcum.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Thomas Partin; 3 brothers, Jess, Lewis, and Burse Marcum; 3 sisters, Stella Marcum Williams, Rosella Marcum Butler, and Cora Marcum Golden; 5 children, Alva Lee Partin, Fred Partin, Elgon Partin, Melvin Partin, Patricia Fox; 2 grandchildren, Monica Partin and Linda Partin Lamb; one great-grandson, Benjamin Pruitt.
She is survived by her sons, Leamon (Donna) Partin of Harlan, Jerry (Ruby) Partin of Evarts, Gary (Vickie) Partin of Wallins, and Gen (Karen) Partin of Tunnel Hill, GA; her daughters, Joyce (Earl) Perkins of Evarts and Rachel Cloa Etta Kelly of Loyall; 68 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 32 great-great grandchildren; she also leave other relatives and many special friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be Monday Dec. 23, 2013 from 6 – 9:00 pm at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Eldridge officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with Grandsons serving as Pallbearers.
