David Laws

David A. "Caveman" Laws, 43 of Harrogate, TN formerly of Harlan passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at his home.
David was born November 27, 1977 in Toledo, OH to Fred Rufus Laws and the late Gracie Gosnell Laws. He graduated from James A. Cawood High School, and most of his life he was a truck driver for CMT in Middlesboro, KY. He enjoyed trucking, fishing, always loved to work on projects.
Besides his mother he is preceded in death by his brother, Fred Laws Jr.
David loved his family, besides his father, he is survived by his beloved daughter, Gracie Woodby, and "special" daughters Alexis and Macey Ernest; "special" son, Joseph Woodby. He loved them all very much, and was very proud of them. They had a special bond that has engraved in their hearts; his brothers Darrell Laws, Danny Laws, and Dennis Laws; and his Sisters, Donna Lopez, Debby Laws, and Dolores Hartbarger, and their family. David loved his nieces and nephews, and they were always in his heart. When family members would talk to him or they go to Tennessee to see him he was so happy. He always said I love you and always had his arms open wide. If you called on him for help, he would always be there to. His life long friend was Jenill Howard, he and Gracie could always rely on her to talk to, to be there for them. Anyone that knew David aka caveman knew he had a heart of gold. David will be missed and will always live on within our hearts. Heaven needed a Angel and God sent for him.
Visitation will be 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Saturday, October 9 at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home, 114 S. 3rd Street, Harlan, KY 40831. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the services.
